Risperidone is marketed under the trade name Risperdal and is produced by Janssen Pharmaceuticals (a subsidiary of Johnson & Johnson Company). The drug works by preventing the neurotransmitters in the brain such as serotonin and dopamine. The medication was introduced in the market, and was termed as a “next generation” drug.
